Time lapse is translated precisely as a time lapse, and a time lapse video is a video in which a certain amount of time passes between each picture. The result is a fast or ultra-fast camera video that is useful for capturing moments that are in need of sunset, moving clouds, or constructing a building block.
Time-lapse videos have been relatively popular for a number of years as mobile phones were powerful enough to handle them. Therefore, many mobile phones include the feature in their camera app. However, this is sometimes a bit limited, so it is better to use third-party applications to create video in fast motion. These are the best available on Google Play these days.
Framelapse is one of the oldest time-lapse apps on Google Play, with years of travel (hint: before it was called Droid Timelapse) and more than a million downloads. There is a free version and a paid version, although the first version is sufficient in most cases.
In Framelapse, you can choose the speed interval (every second to take a picture), set a maximum duration, and adjust the bitrate and resolution. It’s one of the most accurate and stable time-lapse apps.

Time Lapse Camera
It has a similar name, but differs significantly from the previous one. If Framelapse turns out to be quite stable, this can not be said for time-lapse cameras (also called Time Spirit). Nevertheless, it has the necessary settings and is easy to use.
One curiosity of this application is that you can create fast-motion videos from photos that are more suitable for stop-motion animations, or in cases where movement is minimal, for example, to capture the growth of a plant.

Lapse It is probably the listing application that gives you more configuration options . Basically you can configure everything, from the type of focus to the white balance, ISO, use of flash, duration or interval.
The interface is a bit outdated, everything is said, although it has a “Material” mode in tests that modernizes it a bit. Like the previous application, you can also use it to make stop-motion animations , that is, joining photographs.

In 2014, Instagram released Hyperlapse, an application that can create videos with a timelapse effect that never reached Android. A year later, Microsoft filled the gap with Microsoft Hyperlapse, an app with a very similar (or identical) concept. In this case, it specializes in videos with the camera in motion .
Microsoft Hyperlapse has the advantage that you can adjust the speed after shooting and stabilize the image for smoother motion. The application was abandoned for a few years, but still provides a good result under optimal conditions.

Simple Time Lapse
The name already implies that this is a simple alternative without too many additional options. You can only record practically, although there are exactly two settings for controlling the picture interval and the resolution.
If you’re looking for something more complex, this is not the application for you, but if you’re looking for something very simple that does not require a lot of resources, this app needs only 5 MB of space and is ideal for simple videos.

SuperLapse is one of the apps with a more modern interface. You can use it to make the most common settings, for example, you can choose the interval between pictures, resolution, or exposure, although you can more accurately choose the number that will convince you the most.
You can lock focus, exposure, and white balance during shooting. This prevents the phone from trying to focus between different shots, which destroys the creation. This is a common problem that can occur in other similar applications.

After all, we saved an application that had not been updated for five years from memory of memories. It can help you if you have an old mobile phone that you would like to reuse to create timelapse videos. Requires Android 4.0 or higher.
The operation is quite old-fashioned: first capture all the photos at one go (Capture) and then paste them into a video during the encoding process (Encode). The UI has aged pretty well, which fits.
