Fujifilm expands medium format system
Fujifilm continues to expand its own medium-format system. In 2019, the new GFX 100S is expected to hit the market with an impressive 100 megapixels, but by then Fujifilm is sweetening us with a new lens – the GF 100-200mm f / 5.6 R LM OIS WR.
New 100-200mm lens
The new lens, which comes with a small image equivalent focal length of 79 to 158mm, works with 20 lenses, which are arranged in 13 groups. Also included are two Super-ED lenses and an aspherical lens, Fujifilm speaks of a first-class imaging performance.
Anyone who is familiar with the abbreviations of Fujifilm can already see from the name of the lens that it knows how to convince with an optical image stabilizer (equaling 5 f-stops) and a weatherproof construction. A linear autofocus motor (short: LM) is also involved, while the weight of the 100-200mm lens amounts to 1,050 grams with dimensions of 90 x 183mm.
To be available is the 100-200mm f / 5.6 from mid-February for the price of 2,000 euros.
