Fujifilm X-T30 approaching

Already at the end of last year we had reported that Fujifilm is expected to introduce a new camera in early 2019 with the X-T30 . The X-T30 is to inherit the X-T20 and like its predecessor many (but not all) functions of the big sister X-T3 take over. And since the X-T3 is one of the most successful cameras of the past year , those customers who would be interested in a similar camera at a slightly lower price, can look forward to the X-T30.

Officially registered

Now Fujifilm has registered a new camera called “FF180006”. According to the registration documents, this camera will be equipped with Bluetooth 4.2, just as it is with the X-T3. Of the X-T30 is in the documents, although not clearly mentioned, but the always well-informed website Fujirumors reported that it should be the FF180006 definitely the X-T30.

New display + improved EVF?

Accordingly, one can expect that soon – in other words in the next few weeks, for example in mid-February in the run-up to the CP + 2019 – the official presentation of the Fuji X-T30 will take place. More detailed information on the technical data is not yet known, but we are curious if the camera will come as the cheaper X-T100 with a truly flexible display and perhaps an improved EVF on the market.

And because in some forums has already been speculated: No, to the Fuji X-H2, it should definitely not act in the FF180006. It will be presented in 2020 at the earliest.
